Stunning pools appear through the bush on the island, they look like an oasis but have a dark history. The unlucky islanders who discovered them jumped in to get some respite from the searing heat.

Unfortunately for them, they are thermal and all 3 friends were killed when they jumped in together.

Since then they have been used as suicide pools.

Just off the island is some of the most interesting snorkelling in the world. A vibrant coral reef is separated in patches by underwater volcanic vents that spew thermal water into the ocean.
