Will Harvie is a senior reporter in the Christchurch office of Stuff; editor of the Monday science page; and a relieving news director (opinion and Saturday features).

Most of the stories he writes explore New Zealand science but his interests include the arts, diplomacy, the outdoors, and Christchurch/Canterbury. He broke into journalism in the 1990s in Canada and joined The Press in Christchurch in 2001. He founded the Box, an award-winning Press section on consumer tech and TV, and has edited Your Weekend magazine. Over his career, he has reported from Canada, the US, Europe and Antarctica.
