Steve Kilgallon is a National Correspondent based in Auckland, specialising in investigations and long-form features.

He has particular expertise in gambling, liquor, migrant exploitation and other social issues - but is principally interested in stories about people. Steve has worked for the Guardian in the UK, the Sydney Morning Herald and Sun Herald in Australia, and has been with Stuff since 2005 as a senior sportswriter, features writer, features editor of the Sunday Star-Times, and national arts and entertainment editor before joining the National Correspondents team. He is the author of three books.
