Phillip Rollo is a Wellington-based sports reporter with 10 years of experience in the media industry.

Born in Nelson, he landed his first journalism job straight out of secondary school, working for the Nelson Weekly for four years before joining Stuff as a sports reporter in 2014. Phillip covered the Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay in 2018, where New Zealand achieved its best-ever finish by securing a bronze medal.
