Miriam Bell is a business journalist, born in Scotland but raised in Tāmaki Makaurau.

She has been a journalist for nearly 20 years. For the last nine years, she has focused on property, housing, personal finance and related issues. Prior to joining Stuff, she was the editor of NZ Property Investor magazine. Her Jewish heritage has led to her reporting extensively on Jewish issues and stories for a range of publications, and also to contributing to two books on New Zealand's Jewish history and community.
