Katy Jones Reporter

Katy has been a journalist for 20 years, starting her career with a baptism of fire - as an international audio sub-editor at RNZ during the September 11 attacks.

She worked as an RNZ reporter for four years, before volunteering at a radio station in Vietnam in 2007, where highlights included co-producing a documentary on the impact of climate change in the Mekong Delta. Moving to the UK in 2008, she worked as a radio reporter and news reader. Katy joined Stuff after returning to NZ with her young family in 2017, nabbing the climate change and education rounds in Nelson.
