Joanne Carroll is a senior reporter based in Greymouth.

Originally from Ireland, she moved to New Zealand in 2007. She started her career at The Westport News and also worked at The Southland Times and the Otago Daily Times. She spent three years as a court reporter for The Herald on Sunday in Auckland and was news editor for Woman's Day magazine before moving back to the West Coast. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Journalism from Dublin City University.
